LIFE TO IT’S FULLEST
Jesus promised us a that we could live life to its fullest because he came to dwell among us. Following Jesus is a lifelong process of maturing and learning to follow the way of Jesus—a way that is life giving. We are called to daily pick up our cross and follow Him.
But sometimes we get in a rut. We go through our lives without much attention to the Holy Spirit’s desire to transform us “from one degree of glory to the next degree of glory.” Albert Einstein once defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” We too often live insane lives. We need catalysts to propel us forward—to get us out of our rut.
THRIVE PLUS (T+) is a year-long catalyst experience for a thriving life. This discipleship and leadership development course is designed to help people build strong core competencies and practices to propel you forward into a lifelong journey as a THRIVING follower of Jesus and leader in the Body of Christ and the world He loves.
T+ is for anyone who would like to get out of their rut, grow in their understanding of God and the Bible, develop transformational practices, and begin living into who God created them to be.
Robert Clinton, a renowned leadership specialist and author of The Making of a Leader, casts a vision for striving to reach “convergence” in life. Convergence happens when your gifts, talents, and acquired skills “converge” with a role that empowers you to do what you do best.
What if we could make helpful investments in our life that help us move toward this goal?
What if we could interrupt the routine of life and make an investment that would be catalytic toward a thriving life?
TRAIN TO THRIVE
T+ is rooted in the concept of ‘altitude training.’ Altitude training is used by some athletes to help improve their body’s red-blood count due to the deprivation of oxygen at high altitudes. In other words, by acclimating the body to an out-of-the-ordinary and challenging environment, the body is better equipped to handle ordinary conditions.
This is one way to think of what T+ is all about. The Apostle Paul writes, “… train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” Over the course of a year, T+ participants will take part in “high-altitude” discipleship training by participating in a challenging routine of study, spiritual formation, and leadership coaching. The end result is intended to be a strong foundation toward the pursuit of holiness in all areas of life.
